Customer Spotlight: Hunt Memorials Inc.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Community
Hunt Memorials Inc., based in Nashville, Tennessee, has been serving families and communities since 1928. As a family-owned and operated business, the company has built its reputation on craftsmanship, integrity, and a deep respect for the people they serve. With many employees staying for decades, the team has created a culture that truly feels like family, one rooted in shared purpose and pride in their work.
Led in production by Steve Kaczmarczyk, who has been in the monument industry since 1993, the team approaches every project with care and precision. Steve’s role spans everything from computer layouts and stencil cutting to installation and hands-on carving. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a flat marker or a large estate memorial,” he says. “They are all important.”
Hunt Memorials specializes in large-scale memorialization and historically significant stonework. From municipal monuments and veterans’ memorials to church and institutional projects, their work often involves complex collaboration with cities, organizations, and design teams. These projects demand not only technical expertise but also sensitivity to the stories and history behind each piece.
One project that stands out is the Children’s Memorial in Clarksville, Tennessee. Featuring a sculpted butterfly set within a textured granite face, the piece required detailed sandblasting and hand tooling to bring the design to life. The combination of precision blasting and hand craftsmanship made it both technically rewarding and personally meaningful.
To achieve the depth and durability their work demands, Hunt Memorials relies on U-Blast stencils. “Depth is very important to us,” Steve explains. “We carve everything very deep, so having a stencil that can handle long blasting times is critical.” The consistent performance and ongoing product improvements allow the team to work with confidence on every project.
